For IE, please try the following steps:
1. Click "Tools" Menu and choose "Internet Options"
2. Go to "Advanced" tab and scroll down until you see "Multimedia"
heading
3. Under "Multimedia", make sure "Play animations in web pages"
option is selected
4. Click "OK"
I think the same procedure can apply to Maxthon as it is based on the IE engine.
